Warranty & Returns

Tyresales Warranty Policy

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

The additional warranty set forth in this document apply to all tyres ("Tyres") sold by Tyresales Pty Ltd ("tyresales").

In addition to the rights and remedies to which you may be entitled and which cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or any other relevant legislation, tyresales warrants that the tyres sold by it, used in normal service and in accordance with the maintenance recommendations and safety warnings of the manufacturer, will be free from defects in material and workmanship. This warranty shall be effective for one (1) year from the date of purchase, being the date shown on the original tyresales sale invoice. To the extent permitted by law, this warranty is limited to the original purchaser of a Tyre and expires immediately upon transfer of the tyre to another individual or entity.

Except as stated below, this policy describes all of the warranties given and remedies available with respect to the Tyres. To the maximum extent permitted by law and save as stated above, tyresales:

  • disclaims any other implied guarantee or warranty in relation to the tyres; and
  • will not be liable for any loss or damage (including costs, loss of time, inconvenience and commercial losses) however caused, whether direct, indirect or consequential, incurred or suffered by you or any third party in respect of the Tyres except to the extent such loss or damage is caused by tyresales’ own acts or omissions.

Nothing in this warranty shall be construed as superseding or adding to any tyresales warranty for other products or services or as excluding, restricting or modifying:

  • the application or exercise of any right or remedy to which you may be entitled under the Australian Consumer Law which cannot be excluded; or
  • any liability of tyresales in relation to a failure to comply with a guarantee that applies under the Australian Consumer Law.

Warranty Exclusions

To the extent permitted by law, the additional warranty set out above does not extend to Tyres which become defective as a result of:

  • Road hazard damage, such as impact damage or puncture, whether repairable or not;
  • Incorrect mounting of the Tyre;
  • Improper storage of the Tyre;
  • Under-inflation, over-inflation, improper maintenance, improper repair or other abuse;
  • Mechanical irregularity in the vehicle, including, without limitation, tyre/wheel imbalance or wheel misalignment, which results in uneven or rapid wear;
  • Being fitted to or used with incompatible or improper valves, rims or wheels;
  • Being fitted to vehicles which are carrying loads or running speeds higher than that recommended for the vehicle;
  • Not being fitted or used in accordance with the technical recommendations of the manufacturer as published from time to time;
  • Accident, fire, chemical explosion or exposure, tyre alteration (e.g. retreading) or vandalism; or
  • Climatic effects, such as damage caused by salt water or sand.

Damaged, incorrect and faulty products

If you receive a Tyre that you believe is damaged or faulty please contact us by making a claim. Our tyre experts will review the claim and our Team will contact you with the outcome.

How to make a warranty claim

To get started on making a claim, please read the following:

If a tyre becomes defective within the terms of this warranty at any time during the above-described warranty period or as otherwise required by law, you may make a claim.

You will need to supply your order number, name, email address, contact number, the number of tyres affected, complete description of the alleged defect and photos of the tyre evidencing the alleged defect. Any additional evidence that you may have may be uploaded as well.

Once a claim has been made, our tyre experts will review your claim and an outcome will be provided within five working days. If your claim requires a physical inspection, our Team will contact you to organise this with an accredited tyresales vehicle/tyre specialist in your area.

If the fault of the tyre(s) is due to the manufacturing fault, we will absorb the cost of the inspection and will contact you to arrange replacements that will include re-fitment at no additional charge to you or a refund of the faulty tyre(s).

If the fault of the tyre(s) is not a manufacturing fault or other defect that is not governed by your statutory rights under applicable laws, the inspection cost will then become the responsibility of the customer and must be paid directly to the accredited tyresales vehicle/tyre specialist.

If you have taken the tyres to a Vehicle/Tyre Specialist outside of the tyresales network and/or do not have the tyres in your possession, we will not be able to continue with your claim and it will be closed.

Returns Policy

It is important to ensure you order the correct tyres. If you have ordered the incorrect tyres please contact tyresales on 1300 897 372 or email; customersupport@tyresales.com.au as soon as possible.

Returns due to defects or failure to comply with applicable laws

Notwithstanding any other clause in this policy, where Tyres are defective or do not comply with applicable laws, we will provide a refund or replacement at no additional cost to you in accordance with your statutory rights and as required under applicable laws.

Returns for any other reason

To the extent permitted by law, we will accept returns for any reason within 30 days of purchase, and reserve the right to refuse your return if notified after this period.

To the extent permitted by law:

  • Tyres must be in as new, unused condition to be eligible for return;
  • Tyres that have been mounted to rims, or driven on for any period of time will not be considered; and
  • You are responsible for the cost of any freight, courier and delivery of the Goods to us and the cost of any freight, courier and delivery of any replacement Goods to you (except to the extent the Goods were purchased subject to tyresales’ “Risk Free Guarantee” policy). In relation to tyresales’ “Risk Free Guarantee” policy, a callout fee may be payable where you have purchased additional products and/or services with your Tyres such as mobile fitment services.

Process for all returns

  • Tyres cannot be returned directly to our warehouse, please contact our customer support team to arrange a return. To arrange a tyre return, click here to email our customer support team.
  • Tyres will be collected by our logistics provider from the delivery location denoted in the original order and returned back to us.
  • Where you are offered or otherwise entitled to a refund, your refund will be processed in full once tyres have been receipted by our warehouse staff and confirmed to be in reasonably acceptable condition as outlined above (except where the tyres are returned as they contain defects or fail to comply with applicable laws).
  • Refunds will be processed back to your original payment method noted on your order (less any freight, courier and delivery costs where you are responsible for such costs).
  • Refunds will be processed within 5 business days upon tyres arriving back to us. Due to delays from financial institutions and payment merchants, funds can take up to 5 business days to appear in your account after refund has been processed. Please note, returns may take up to 20 days from request date through to processing of refund and may be longer where there are delivery delays.

Unclaimed tyres

Tyres that have been left at the fitment centre or freight depot for 14 days (without any contact from the customer) will be returned to tyresales. In such circumstances, you will be refunded the amount of your tyre order minus the return freight cost.
