Named after its founder, Walter Chrysler, this company was created in 1925. It is the smallest of the “Big Three” American car manufacturers and is the world’s 11th largest automobile manufacturer.
Their product line includes Dodge, Ram, Jeep, and Mopar. The Dodge line includes passenger cars, minivans, crossovers and SUVs. The Ram range includes trucks and commercial automobiles. Jeep is mainly off-road vehicles, SUVs and crossovers. While the Mopar provides upscale versions of certain automobiles from Chrysler, Dodge, Ram Jeep and Fiat.
In 2011, Fiat bought into Chrysler and the company is now owned by Fiat under Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. They recently completely redesigned the Chrysler 200, their mid-size car model and the lowest-priced model of the Chrysler brand. The car is currently being promoted with a new slogan “America’s Import”.
