CONTINENTAL 225/45R17 Tyre Prices

My Octavia's interior noise levels are very sensitive to the tyres fitted and the MaxContact 6 are proving to be very good. They are also exhibiting low rolling resistance for good fuel consumption with the higher pressures I normally run and still providing a comfortable ride and good handling although I am not an aggressive driver. The rims are also reasonably well protected from kerb damage. They are made in Thailand with 'German Technology' and my examples were well priced against the competition. Only done 1500km so far so not reporting on wear characteristics but will be more than happy if they achieve the 'guaranteed' 50k km.

Easier than expected. Will purchase future tyres this way in the future.

I had the MC5 before buying these MC6 so if the wear is similar I will be very happy. The MC6 grip has been very good in both wet and dry, as these are in a golf GTI it was very important. Very enjoyable to drive.

Previous tyres were Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric which worked well but got very noisy when old. These are much quieter. Grip seems comparable but haven’t had a chance to really test them yet. No indication of wet weather performance yet, it doesn’t rain here this time of year
